SaveMoneyCutCarbon enhances staff wellbeing through Access to Work Mental Health Support Service Delivered on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions, through the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service, we have helped more than 45,000 people with mental health conditions stay in or return to work.

The service offers up to nine months of confidential, personalised support, including workplace adjustments, expert guidance and signposting to additional resources for those struggling with conditions such as anxiety, depression and stress.

In October 2024, on World Mental Health Day, Partnership Lead Clive Thomas, met with Suffolk-based SME SaveMoneyCutCarbon to explore how we can help support the mental health of their employees. With a team of 45 professionals, their aim is to support businesses on their journey to becoming net zero by providing energy, water, and carbon reduction solutions.

Following the meeting, SaveMoneyCutCarbon partnered with Maximus to provide their workforce with free access to the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service.

Whilst they already had two trained mental health responders and dual Employee Assistance Programmes in place, SaveMoneyCutCarbon recognised the need for more tailored support and the service complemented and enhanced their existing provision by offering confidential, remote, and personalised mental health assistance.

Our partnership has underpinned SaveMoneyCutCarbon’s ongoing efforts to reduce stigma around mental health and reinforced the company’s proactive approach to staff wellbeing.

Carolyn Sait, Director of People at SaveMoneyCutCarbon shared: “We’re aware of the importance of good mental health and want to support our staff as much as we can, so the provision of mental wellbeing resources is of paramount importance.

“Staff wellbeing is at the core of any successful business, and we understand that the mental health of our team is integral to our success impacting vital areas such as productivity, communication, the fostering of a positive culture and the reduction of absenteeism.

“The Access to Work Mental Health Support Service is more than a standard employee assistance programme offering, it’s a bespoke unique support providing a more tailored approach to individuals.”
